We are saddened by the loss of our classmate, Beverley Waite Abbey, who died in a tragic fire in her home in Cambria, CA on Saturday, October 21, 1917.

I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for all the amazing love and support since my mom's sudden passing a week ago. We have a lot of people we need to get back to and we will have a little more time to do that this week. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding. There was a lot of damage from the house fire and these last several days have been long and exhausting sifting through my mom's things to see what is salvageable, but we are very thankful that we have been able to recover some pictures and keepsakes that we thought at first didn't make it. We still have a lot of work to do this week and it has been very emotional, but are just taking things one day at a time. We have tentatively scheduled a memorial service for my mom from 2-4 pm on Friday November 17th at Coalesce Garden Chapel in Morro Bay. We will post more on that very soon. <3

What terrible news. I'm grateful, however, Bev lived a full and rewarding life, as she wrote about on her profile page. I remember her for her beauty, poise and refined manner. When I read about her decision to follow a career dedicated to giving care to others, it made perfect sense. You  can see the kindness in her eyes. My hope is for her family to find peace as they cope with this unexpected tragedy.
