I remember Carol Wing. She was my wonderful friend in junior high school. I don't remember her at Edina in senior high, but perhaps she completed her studies there in a different way. I know her family was having some difficulties and she spent a lot of time at her uncle's house. I remember that picture of her in her nurse's uniform. She always wanted to be a nurse. Sounds like she made a wonderful career of her work. She was a great friend with whom I lost touch when she stopped going to school. I am so sorry to hear she passed away.  I remember many happy times with them. We had fun together and were typical "junior high kids" as I recall.  I remember spending nights at her house and going to her uncle's house and getting something for lunch first at the local convenience store.  She was a very nice girl who always had a desire to be a nurse.  By the sounds of it, she had a good, long marriage and I hope she was always happy.  She was a good friend, and we lost touch after she no longer attended school.  I don't remember anything else.

I certainly feel bad about her death from Covid and wonder if that was a direct result of her work as a nurse, caring for others. And her obituary mentions that if anyone wants to give a memorial in her honor to an animal rights group, that would be fitting.  I smiled because animal rights are paramount to me.
