Does anyone have any details on Donns' passing?  I lost touch with her and couldn't track her down with the internet. She was my neighbor. I was in her wedding and pall bearer in her dads funeral. It saddens me to hear this. John Anderson

John Anderson,

We received this In Memory Notice from Jean MacIntosh Mankamyer:

"A couple of years ago, I tried to look up Donna. The best I could determine was that she passed away several years back. Her parents are deceased and I do not know her husband, so was reluctant to contact him to verify Donna's passing. Perhaps this committee can do so."

Apparently, Jean thinks she was living in Tampa, with her husband. We do not have her married name in our database, and since you were in her wedding, maybe you can provide is with that name to help us search for information.

We are so sorry to hear of Donna's death.

I met Donna when we both attended Southview Junior High and we became best friends from then on. Since she lived on Ashcroft, I often walked home with her after school, where we would listen to records (the latest album sent to her by her uncle who ran a radio station in Worthington), talk about boys (of course), and school. Since both her mother and father worked, Donna was responsible for starting dinner and I would sometimes help. I was in awe of her kitchen skills, as I had none. She was a highly intelligent, yet down to earth person - full of good humor. She was also a determined student and excelled in all her classes, another attribute among many I greatly admired. Donna had wonderful parents, who doted on her. They were wise, kind and caring people and I loved being around both of them. Life after high school took us in different directions as we followed our own paths. Donna married twice and last lived in Tampa, FL, where she was a professor in the College of Education at the University of South Florida. I wouldn't be surprised
if her experiences in the Edina school system influenced her choice of career. Unfortunately, we lost touch with one another, and it
was when I tried to reconnect with her that I discovered she had died in 1993. I am so sorry I didn't have the opportunity to let her
know how much her friendship and our childhood experiences meant to me. Lesson learned. So, I'm stating it here: I am grateful for the friendship we shared and send you my love as well as my wish for eternal peace.

Not much more information but here is a little:

Her husband's name was John T. Bullock but he has died also.

I simply remember seeing her in school and thinking how beautiful she was.  I am sure she was intelligent as well.  I am so sad she has passed.  All the lovelies seem to pass too soon.
