Kathie Jensen Baumgart

Kathie died June 4, 2021 of cancer. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a nursing degree. Kathie and her husband, Jack lived in several places in the United States during his career in the Air Force. After his retirement they settled in Fairfax, Virginia. They spent every summer at their log cabin on Straight Lake near Park Rapids, Minnesota. In Virginia Kathie was active in several garden clubs and a pottery group called Clay Goddesses. Kathie started a very successful charity called Saving Graces. They furnished apartments and houses with household goods to families experiencing homelessness. She is survived by Jack, 2 daughters, Amanda (Todd) of Edina, Megan (Javier) of Fairfax and 5 grandchildren. Kathie was always the organizer and fun person in any group. She will be missed.
