Sandy was stunning, with long, black, wavy hair. I remember her as lively and with a ready laugh. I was shocked to learn that she died while hitchhiking from Minneapolis to Iowa. I feel free to say this because her mother wrote a Letter to the Editor about it, to warn others about the dangers of hitchhiking. (And to IOWA, yet!)
Had such fun working on talent show in Jr. High with Sandy. I remember her TINY waist, pretty smile and slender, tall figure ! Was so sad about her death, too young!
I was informed how Sandy passed away and it was so unfortunate..I used to hitch hike back and forth on Fridays and Sundays to Mankato State..Most of the trips were fun and I met some interesting people..But one time coming back on a Friday afternoon..I was picked up by 2 average looking guys and they acted a bit odd..When we passed by an advertising sign that had a moose on it, one pulled out a gun from under his seat and emptied 6 shots into the sign.I was very quiet the rest of the trip...One never knows

I knew Sandy just by being in class with her. She had a beautiful smile, she was tall and very pretty,
I am not familiar with when exactly Sandy passed away, not long after high school though, She died
a pretty violent death, I don't feel at liberty to say how exactly, but it's sad that she died so young and
missed out on life....she would have loved it.
