Peter John Steiner, of Lakeville, MN, entered heaven on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at age 73. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elaine Steiner of Edina, MN. Born on November 10, 1946 and raised in Edina, Peter had a knack for making lifelong friends and stayed close to his childhood group, The Hawks, including his best friend, Richard Lindskoog. Peter graduated from Edina High School in 1964 and Saint Cloud State University in 1969. A year later, he married Julie Moore and they moved to Phoenix, AZ where they had three daughters. One of Peter’s passions was real estate development where he was involved with Eaton International and Cloister Condos at Biltmore Estates. Upon relocating his family back to MN, he was involved in residential real estate and was an innovator in prefabricated homes in Northern MN. Peter maintained 27 years of sobriety through the support of the Prior Lake AA, Lakers Alano where he meet his sponsor and friend Bob Polzin. In his sobriety he sponsored, built many friendships and he found a love for racing motorcycles with a close group of friends called The Flying Daffodils. Peter also loved to read, gaining and sharing knowledge with those he knew. He was an avid collector of books, rugs, guitars, watches, and all things fine. Peter’s biggest joy in life was spending time with his daughters and beautiful grandchildren. He always called Julie and his daughters “his girls” and in Peter’s final breath his girls surrounded him with love. Survived by Julie Steiner, daughters Stacy (Grant) Baumberger, Courtney Steiner, Ashley (Mitchell) Lake, grandchildren Ava and Cohen Lake, Bret, Jenna and Rylie Baumberger,sister Pam (Walt) Slibeck, and nieces Lauren Slibeck-Hudson and Nicole Slibeck-Taracena.He resided in Burnsville, MN. Survivors include his wife, Julie Steiner, daughters Stacy (Grant) Baumberger, Courtney Steiner, Ashley (Mitchell) Lake, grandchildren Ava and Cohen Lake, Bret, Jenna and Rylie Baumberger, sister Pam (Walt) Slibeck, and nieces Lauren Slibeck-Hudson and Nicole Slibeck-Taracena.
