After graduating, I went to St. Cloud State and got a BA in marketing and then went on to get a masters in management.
I worked in commercial real estate for 45 years in all facets of high rise office, development and various other executive positions. I lived and worked all over the US in numerous capacities.
Projects I was associated with locally were the IDS Center, the Baker & Northstar Blocks, American Express, & Meritex.
I spent 12 years out in Boston heading a real estate development group that developed high rise buildings in downtown as well as New York. We developed almost 3M square feet of properties.
I am now retired splitting time between South Dakota and Wisconsin.
I still have siblings in MN and WI.
I returned to Minnesota in 1997 to help my father transition his life after my mom died. I decided to stay and finished my career locally.
I never married nor had kids.
Going forward I plan to purchase real estate in the caribbean in the near future and will go back and forth with the seasons.
I have a cabin on 40 acres out of Stockholm, WI looking at Lake Pepin. I share that with family, friends and my dog JR who is an English Springer.
I have a runway out my back door and also hope to purchase a gyrocopter for some sport flying. I also boat on the river along with tending to my tree farm.
It is hard to believe 50 years have passed so fast.
I look forward to seeing and hearing from others in our class.

School Story

What I remember most about high school days were the sports teams and athletic accomplishments of 1960's Edina students.
As I recall the basketball team went to the state tournament for the first time ever and came in third in state. Later teams would win it all.
Of course hockey, football, baseball swimming and all the rest of the team sports were second to none in the state.
Then there was also the great bands, cheerleaders and of course top notch academics that prepared us all for the past 50 years of life.
The one thing I regret is that I did not get to go to the senior graduation party because I was running in the state track meet the next day. I was really sorry to miss that event.
When I went off to school of course I was always called the "cake eater" To this day it still sticks.
Edina was a great place to grow up and be from. I could not have asked for any better education but did not realize that until I got out in the real world.
There are so many memories even after 50 years.

I was in 5th hour gym class down in one of the lower level wresting rooms. We had finished doing warmup squats. I was wrestling Keith Boettcher as I recall. The PA system in that room was broken so we could barely hear the announcement. Of course all fell quiet and the class ended early so we could shower and move to the last class of the day. Mine happened to be speech class with Larry Stotts. Somehow he was able to get a TV into his class room. We spent the hour in dead silence as the tragedy continued to unfold. It was a long sad weekend to say the least.

Tom was a gentle soul who always had a kind word and a smile for everyone.  Tom and I were on the track team together.  He was a great competitor and always worked as hard as he could to add to the team which he did.  We reconnected at our 50th reunion and had some great time together after that event.  He was always helping to get some of us graduates and teachers together for more remembrances and comraderie of our time at Edina.  Tom may you Rest In Peace. From one track buddy to another.  You will be missed by all.

Jeff, I could not agree more with your comment on Jerry.  At this point in our lives time is fleeting.  We need to let our friends and significant others know what they meant to us before we or they go.  Nice tribute.
