I went to David Brenner's Memorial Service today. John Nelson was there, the only other member of our class.

Dsvid was very accomplished as a machinist, tool & die maker, mechanic  & craftsman. I am sorry I didn't know him in my adult life- his talents may have helped me! May he rest In peace !

I know David was a very talented machinist, and mechanic! All of us have some talents that go on recognized. I didn't know he was such an animal lover! That makes him special in my book! Marty Thiede.

Dave was a good guy. Always there with a joke and a smile. Sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to the family.

i am mostly commenting on lloyd hauskins message on David Brenner. he was a warm, real, courageous, gay guy. never saw him say or do an insensitive word or act...in spite of being the object of public derision in some harebrained circles.  i remember david and his partner, at the penultimate  confab at edina golf club, sat alone at a big round table off in the corner. i thought that was pretty brave. i dont know if he was happy go lucky, or on the contrary, simply nurturing deep feelings that expressed a caring heart. i am sorry that i didnt go over to their table.
